CPHE - Eagles' Wings - Teacher Biographies

Mrs. J. Alexander has been married to Paul since 1997 and is a mom of 2. She has been homeschooling since 2014 and is currently serving on CPHE's Board of Directors as Editor.

Mrs. Bishop is a homeschool graduate herself and has been homeschooling her children for 11 years. She has been married for 18 years and she and her husband have five children.

Mrs. Broeker has been homeschooling since January 2017. She and her husband have 3 boys, ages 8, 7 and 7. She is a Registered Nurse working in Labor and Delivery. She is a long-time science nerd, having participated in Science Olympiads, Science Knowledge Bowl, and various other science competitions and hobbies in high school and college. She also loves singing hymns and worship songs, and teaching children about God’s love.

Mrs. Budd has been homeschooling since 2015.  She has her B.S. in Chemistry from Park University.  She and her husband have five children.

Miss Duston is a former Eagles' Wings student and has been teaching and aiding at Eagles' Wings since 2014.

Mrs. Duston is a wife of 30 years, mother of five and Yiayia ( Γιαγιά) to her wonderful granddaughters. She and her husband have homeschooled since 1996. To God be the Glory!

Mrs. Kinney has a BS in Psychology and BA in Biblical Studies from Grace University. She and Mr. Kinney began their homeschooling adventure in 2009. They embrace a classical method of education and enjoy lively book discussions in their spare time. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift – the hope and very capstone of our lives!

Mrs. Lyles has been homeschooling since 2001. She has a B.S. in Accounting from UMKC. She enjoys reading, puzzles, photography, and cats.

Mrs. Miner began her homeschooling journey in 1998. She and her husband have three children (24, 19, and 17) and have been married for 30 amazing years!

Mrs. Oswald is a graduate of Whittier College, Whittier, CA with a BA in Business Administration. She studied theatre at CSULB (Cal. State University Long Beach). Her teaching experience ranges from being a Freshman English Coach to teaching science at Vacation Bible School. She has been homeschooling her daughter since 2008.

Mrs. Rittenhouse married Matt in 2009. Prior to staying home with her two children in 2015, she worked in law enforcement for 12 years. She is certified as a Spanish interpreter and has a B.A. and M.S. in Criminal Justice/Criminology from UMKC and the University of Cincinnati, respectively. In her non-existent free time, she trains her dog for search and rescue.

Mrs. Roswell is a bit of a globetrotter.  She has been all over the place and taught in different situations.  She loves the saguaros of Arizona, the high mountains of South Korea, and the white sands of Florida beaches.  Mrs. Roswell has taught in public school, ESL First Grade if you would like to know, and all sorts of ages in an international Christian school and is now homeschooling her daughter.  She met her husband in a church in South Korea that once was a skating rink and they have been married 14 years.  Her first and most famous student was an African Grey Parrot named Alex.

Mrs. Shivley has been married to Mr. Shivley for 23 years!  They have been homeschooling their 8 children since 2001.

Mrs. Van Eyck is a teacher and mother of three homeschooled boys. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education with many years of classroom and homeschool teaching experience.

Mrs. Wick is the mother of three.  This is her fourth year Homeschooling.  She is a previous triathlete, cyclist, group exercise instructor.  In addition, she enjoys spending time outside, reading, scrap booking, spending time with her family and friends, and going on adventures
