CPHE - Eagles' Wings - Teacher Biographies

Mrs. Bishop is a homeschool graduate herself and has been homeschooling her children for 11 years. She has been married for 19 years and she and her husband have five children.

Mrs. Broeker has been homeschooling since January 2017. She and her husband have 3 boys, ages 10, 8 and 8. She is a Registered Nurse working in Labor & Delivery. She is a long-time science nerd, having participated in Science Olympiads, Science Knowledge Bowl, and various other science competitions and hobbies in high school and college. She also loves singing hymns and worship songs, and teaching children about God’s love.

Mrs. Budd and her husband celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary this year. They have three children: an 18-yr-old girl who just graduated in the CPHE Class of 2018 and two young boys, one of which she began homeschooling this year. Mrs. Budd has a B.S. in Chemistry and a love for teaching, learning, her family and her God--in reverse order, of course.

Miss Duston is a former Eagles' Wings student and has been teaching and/or aiding at Eagles' Wings since 2014.

Mrs. Duston is a wife of more than thirty years, mother of five and Yiayia (Γιαγιά) of two. Raised in Greece, she has had the opportunity to see and experience Greek Art first hand. In recent years, she often taught the Geography Bee Prep classes offered by CPHE. She and her husband have homeschooled since 1996. To God be the glory!

Mrs. Eppler received her B.S.B.A. in management/marketing in 1997 from Union University in Jackson, TN. She got married the week after her graduation 21 years ago to her wonderful husband and they have been on a crazy adventure ever since. God blessed them with 3 kids that she has been fortunate enough to homeschool for 9 years. Being a former military spouse, she has now homeschooled in 4 states. One of her favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5-6.

Mrs. Kinney has a BS in Psychology and BA in Biblical Studies from Grace University. She and Mr. Kinney began their homeschooling adventure in 2009. They embrace a classical method of education and enjoy lively book discussions in their spare time. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift – the hope and very capstone of our lives!

Mrs. Miner began her homeschooling journey in 1998. She and her husband have three children and have been married for 31 amazing years this summer! She has served as CPHE Secretary for three years, has taught various classes at Eagles' Wings.

Mrs. Oswald is a graduate of Whittier College, Whittier, CA with a BA in Business Administration. She studied theatre at CSULB (Cal. State University Long Beach). Her teaching experience ranges from being a Freshman English Coach to teaching science at Vacation Bible School. She has been homeschooling her daughter since 2008.

Mrs. Rittenhouse married Matt in 2009. Prior to staying home with her two children in 2015, she worked in law enforcement for 12 years. She is certified as a Spanish interpreter and has a B.A. and Criminal Justice/Criminology from UMKC and the University of Cincinnati, respectively. In her non-existent free time, she trains for search and rescue.

Mrs. Van Eyck is a teacher and mother of three homeschooled boys. She has a Bachelor of Science in Education with many years of classroom and homeschool teaching experience.

Mrs. Wick is the mother of three. This is her fourth year Homeschooling. She is a previous triathlete, cyclist, group exercise instructor. In addition, she enjoys spending time outside, reading, scrap booking, spending time with her family and friends, and going on adventures.
